1. Who is responsible
Sorvyx, reachable at hello@sorvyx.xyz, operates this website. In this policy "we" and "us" mean the operator of sorvyx.xyz.
2. What we collect
This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no tracking pixels. Reading it does not require you to tell us anything.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard request information (IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time) to serve pages and defend against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify individual readers, and they are retained only as long as the provider keeps them.
If you email us we keep the message and your address for as long as it takes to reply and for a reasonable time afterwards, in case the conversation continues. We do not add you to any list.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google, to count visits: the pages viewed, roughly where a visit comes from (the country or the city), the kind of device and browser, how long a page stays open, and which app's Visit button was tapped. It sets cookies of its own (_ga, and _ga_ followed by letters and digits) holding a random number, and it receives our random visitor number (_vid, below) so that its figures can be checked against our own. We send it no names, email addresses or account details. You can opt out in any browser with Google's opt-out add-on, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Cookies
We set a few cookies of our own. _src remembers for 30 days which website sent you here, the page you arrived on and, when you arrived through a link someone posted in a comment, that link's short code, so that we can tell which links bring readers. _vid holds a random visitor number for 30 days and _js notes, for a year, that your browser ran this site's own script: together they let us count people rather than programs that fetch pages, and neither says anything about who you are. None of these cookies builds a profile or is shared with anyone. Your answer to the age question is kept in your own browser's storage on your device; when you confirm it, the page tells us that a visitor did, nothing more. Google Analytics sets cookies of its own, described above. Cloudflare may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security and load balancing; these carry no profile of you and are not used for advertising.
4. When you leave through our links
A Visit link takes you to a third-party app. Where it is one of our affiliate links (see the disclosure), that service may record that you arrived from this site so that a commission can be attributed. From that point on, the third party’s privacy policy applies, not ours. When you click through an affiliate link we send along a random click reference and, for some apps, a short code for the kind of link you followed, so we can tell which pages lead to sign-ups; the reference identifies the click, not you. We do not receive your name, email or any account details from them, only reports of sign-ups matched to those references.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent any information about visitors.
- We do not run advertising networks or retargeting on this site.
- We do not build profiles of readers.
- We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; the site is written for adults.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because we hold almost nothing beyond email correspondence, these requests are usually short. Email us and we will respond within thirty days.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date at the top. We do not have a way to notify you individually, because we do not keep a list of readers.
8. Contact
Privacy questions go to hello@sorvyx.xyz.
